The short answer

These are BPP’s business reference rates as of 18 October 2026, supplied by the business owner. They are not a survey of average wages across Bali. Confirm a written quotation for your location, tasks, team and dates before work starts.

What does a daily team through BPP cost?

The table separates workers’ wages from the BPP fee. The fee is calculated as 20% of daily wages and added as its own line. This makes the wage amount, fee and combined figure visible without presenting the fee as part of the worker’s wage.

These examples do not establish charges for materials, tools, meals, transport, accommodation, overtime or other items. The quotation must identify who provides and pays for each requirement. A daily figure alone does not mean every project cost is included.

What does a daily team through BPP cost?
Daily teamWorkers’ wagesSeparate BPP fee: 20%Wages + fee
1 tradespersonIDR 180,000IDR 36,000IDR 216,000
1 helperIDR 170,000IDR 34,000IDR 204,000
1 tradesperson + 1 helperIDR 350,000IDR 70,000IDR 420,000

A worked budget for three days

Suppose one tradesperson and one helper are agreed for three days, with each day payable in full. Wages are 3 × IDR 350,000 = IDR 1,050,000. The BPP fee is 20% × IDR 1,050,000 = IDR 210,000. Combined wages and the separate fee therefore total IDR 1,260,000.

This is a cost example, not a promise that a particular job will finish in three days. Duration depends on scope, existing conditions, access, material readiness and changes. If the team size or number of days changes, update wages and the fee separately before approving the additional work.

When can daily-rate workers suit the job?

Daily labour can suit phased repairs, additional manpower or work whose scope needs to be reviewed as it progresses. A homeowner or villa manager still needs to provide clear tasks, timely decisions and a work area that is ready for the team.

For example, 'help repair the wall' should become a list of agreed areas and activities: opening the specified section, preparing the base, completing the masonry or finish, and cleaning the work area. Identify the skills needed rather than assuming every worker can cover every trade. Supervision and task allocation should also be agreed.

How do you keep a daily labour budget under control?

Agree an observable daily target as well as the number of people attending. Record attendance, agreed hours, work areas, available materials and delays. Photographs from the same viewpoints make progress easier to compare without relying on memory.

Review completed work and remaining tasks before extending the assignment. If access is blocked, materials are missing or rain stops outdoor work, record the effect promptly. This price example does not establish rules for stopped days, half-days, overtime, cancellations or payment timing; agree these before starting.

Does the 20% fee apply to a fixed-scope labour package?

Not automatically. The 20% fee on this page applies to BPP’s daily-worker arrangement. Fixed-scope or lump-sum packages use a different fee, to be explained in a separate quotation. Do not treat the daily table as a per-square-metre schedule for contract work.

Compare daily labour and a fixed-scope package against the same scope and finish. Check whether a package covers labour only or labour and materials, who supplies equipment, how quantities are measured and when work is accepted. A low-looking unit price says little about the total if essential stages are missing.

What to send when requesting a quotation

Send the Bali project location, current photographs, task description, approximate dimensions or quantities, access details and preferred dates. Explain whether the property remains occupied or hosts guests. This helps clarify the team required and whether a site review is needed.

Request a written breakdown separating wages, the BPP fee and other agreed items. Worker availability, working hours, meals, transport, minimum assignment and scheduling are not guaranteed by this article. Use the confirmed quotation as the basis for booking and daily records.

What to send for a quotation

  • State the location, tasks, skills, numbers of tradespeople and helpers, and requested dates.
  • Show wages, the separate 20% BPP fee and other items as distinct lines in the daily quotation.
  • Agree hours, attendance records, targets, a contact person and how completed work is checked.
  • Identify who supplies materials, equipment, meals, transport and access to the work area.
  • Agree how material delays, weather, overtime, cancellations and changes to booked days are handled.

Questions before work starts

  • Does the quotation show wages and the BPP fee as two separate components?
  • Which items are included, and which still require cost approval?
  • Who instructs the workers and approves additional people or days?
  • If the scope is measurable, should a comparable fixed-scope quotation with its own fee be requested?
